Privacy policy
Last updated October 16, 2026
This policy covers www.joywellcounseling.com, the website. Health information Katie Hevesi holds about people she works with clinically is protected health information under HIPAA and is covered by her Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive with your intake paperwork.
What this site does not do
- No cookies are set by this website.
- No analytics, advertising pixels, remarketing tags, session recording, or heatmaps.
- No third-party scripts load on any page. Fonts and images are served from this domain, so visiting the site does not tell any other company that you were here.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request information — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and the time — for security and reliability. These logs are kept for a limited period by the host and are not used to build a profile of you.
The waitlist form
The form on the waitlist page asks for your name, email address, phone number, the state you’ll be in during sessions, and whether the support is for yourself, your teen, or your family. That is all it collects.
The form deliberately has no free-text field for medical or clinical details, so there is nowhere on it to write them. Submissions go to the secure intake system Katie uses for her practice, under a business associate agreement. They are used to reach you when a session spot opens and to arrange a consultation call, and for nothing else.
Sharing
Information from this site is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. It is shared only with the service providers that make the practice run — the website host and the intake system — and when the law requires it.
Children
Waitlist requests about a teen are expected to come from a parent or caregiver. This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
To ask what information is held about you, or to come off the waitlist and have your request deleted, contact Katie through the waitlist form. Washington residents have additional rights described in the Washington consumer health data policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
